Who knew you can put maps on furniture!! I know just search Pinterest, and I did, and came up with this for my dresser. Stressful for sure, making sure it is on right and will stay on.

My husband brought home my favorite thing .... paint!!! He knows me well :)

Country kitchen table

Take an unwanted, damaged table, add paint ..... Bam! A beautiful country kitchen. Add black chairs with new fabric.

My reading corner.

All these are thrift store finds:

{Chair} $6.99 Was once brown and blue, I painted it in Annie Sloan Old Ochre, and new fabric from Joann's $3.99 a yard, I used 1/2 a yard.

{Lamp} $4.99 It was gold so I painted it with Annie Sloan Old Ochre. I did buy the shade at Target for $12.99.

{Globe} $9.99 at Goodwill, painted the base with Annie Sloan Old Ochre, heart with red paint and the words with a black Sharpie.

{Glass bowl} $5.99 at Salvation Army, painted the base in Old White.

{Table} $10.00 at a garage sale. This was wood and had a lot of damage to the top. Painted with Provence mixed with Old White and distressed.

{Small candle holder} $1.99 at Goodwill, painted with Annie Sloan Old White, and darker waxed.

{Shutter} $2.00 at a garage sale, painted with Annie Sloan Old Ochre.

Always look past the ugly!!

Thrift stores the best place to up cycle!

I always see globes at the thrift store and I always wanted to craft something with it! I painted the base in Annie Sloan Old White, painted a heart in California and wrote "Home is where the heart is". Simple upcycle!!!!!!

Frames!

I love frames, uglier the better! For weeks I shopped at Goodwill collecting ugly frames. Once I found some, I would take the glass, picture and back out. Spray paint them and hang them up according to size ... Sometimes.

Upcycled Pet Bed

Free TV at a garage sale ... why yes! A little help from my husband taking it apart, paint, padding and Bam! A pet bed :)

What we do!

My husband and I find wonderful, unwanted furniture and paint them with Annie Sloan Chalkpaint for a new look. I will be blogging about our finds, adventures, and the steps of making furniture beautiful again.
